![]() ![]() Plus I think Chicago was a great city to choose for an america DLC. I'm canadian (driving in canada is very much like america) and I've been around these kind of buses and really wanted to drive them when I first got OMSI and this DLC lets me. I've always wanted OMSI 2 in america and I finally got it. This is hands down the best DLC for OMSI 2 in my opinion. HD - Seagate 1T hybrid, GPU - Gigabyte 980ti G1 System Specs (not that they matter much with Omsi): Cpu - i7 4790k Memory - 16 gigs Crucial Tactical Sport When it doesn't work, well if your reading this you know how Omsi can get. ![]() Like most things Omsi, it mostly works and the content is really well crafted when it does. I /do/ have to give it a reccomendation though. For 20$ I'd expect random holes to have been filled in. It happened a second time and I tried to steer around it, rolled the bus and fell out of the map. A section of the road suddenly was submerged up to the middle of the windshield in brown. The only major flaw I found was driving down the highway to get into Chicago. I can't lay that at the doorstep of the DLC though, thats just Omsi really. ![]() The downside is that your going to have to spend some time tweaking the settings to reduce stuttering and get the fps up to 30. The drive down the 290 on the highway to get to the city is a nice touch. The announcer voice is realistic as are the passanger voices and the stops. Its a great map, the buses, of course, are hyper accurate and fun to drive. Like most things Omsi 2 this DLC has its bittersweet charm. Honestly compared to the other Addons out there, for 20€ this really is a steal - the experience is very different from the standard Omsi maps (in a good way). I can wholeheartedly recommend this addon to any Omsi-Fan. Another nice extra: The accessible garage from where you can start and end your runs if you like. There's a lot of new buildings and objects (Traffic lights, signs, etc.) that create an authentic american feel. The sounds are great too and the two propulsion systems powering the buses (One is a standard Diesel, the other one's a Hybrid) make a noticable difference in-game (I am using a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel). For 20€ you'll get a whole lot of first-class content, including a highly detailed map and two very well-modeled and well-textured busses. The price point on this add-on is very generous. While am aware that this DLC is an older one which may affect how the game runs on newer computers, because of this problem, I cannot fully recommend this DLC to people.ĭieses Addon ist vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut unschlagbar. If the developers can help update this slightly and potentially sort out these issues, then it would be better. This issue does not happen on the original OMSI 2 maps and only occurs on the Chicago DLC. It is a shame to see as I really enjoyed this DLC but had to refund it. Despite attempting to troubleshoot and doing everything I could, the game still froze either way. However, the downside of this is that within 15 to 20 minutes of playing on the Chicago map, error messages would start to appear with long chains of numbers or messages from OMSI would show saying that there isn't enough memory to perform this action which was completely false as my computer has more than enough RAM for this game. Being from North America, I personally enjoyed seeing an English-speaking map with familiar buses. I really enjoyed this DLC because it is different from the original OMSI 2 maps. ![]()
